The Shenango Valley Ski Club was founded in 1969 to promote the sport of downhill skiing. Today, the Club's well-rounded calendar provides its members with activities throughout the year. Skiing and non-skiing singles and couples are welcome to join.

DOWNHILL SKIING

Day and weekend ski trips to Pennsylvania, New York, New England and West Virginia ski areas are planned each season. In years past the Club has visited Holiday Valley, Seven Springs, Cockaigne, Swain, Bristol Mountain, Greek Peak, the Poconos, Gore Mountain, Whiteface, Sugarbush and Snowshoe. Most trips are by chartered coach and are subsidized with club funds to reduce costs.

The Club also offers 5-day and week-long trips to ski areas in the Western United States such as Aspen, Vail and Keystone ski resorts in Colorado, Big Sky Montana, and Lake Tahoe and trips to Europe.

With the exception of children 16 - 20 years of age, accompanied by a parent or guardian, all participants in SVSC overnight trips must be 21 years of age or older. The parent of guardion must sign a release form. .

Our Club offers access to activities and trips offered by the 13 Ski Clubs that make up the Western PA Ski Council.

Membership costs $25.00 initially and $25.00 per year and you do not need to live in Mercer County.
